Windom Evangelical Free Church

We start meeting the second wed in Sept and go through the very end of april. We do take off the wed before thanksgiving and 2 wed. at christmas time. We meet at BARC from 6:30pm - 8pm.

Cubbies 3 and 4 year olds
Sparks K - 2nd grade
Truth and Training clubs 3rd - 6th grade
JV - 7th and 8th graders
Journey 24/7 - high schoolers

Awana is a non denominational club hosting kids from all church denominations. Our night is broken up into 3 different segments. Handbook time where kids are reciting bible verses to their leaders that they have memorized at home during the week or turning in projects from their books. Game time where the official awana circle is used for many different types of athletic games. And council time where the kids listen to stories and lessons about the bible.

We have uniforms and awards that the kids earn throughout the club year.

We host the Awana grand Prix in March. The kids are given a pine block of wood and 4 wheels and axles about 6 weeks before the race and then design their own cars which we race on race night in March. We give trophies for both design and speed. The top 3 places.

The first sat in april is the awana games. We meet in Harrisburg South Dakota and play on the awana circle the games we have been playing throughout the club year. WE are playing other awana clubs from other churches from both South Dakota and Minnesota.

We have mystery night every month during the year for the T and T clubs as well as contests to earn a pizza party of bowling party. The JVers have the awana store. They earn awana bucks each night at club and 4x a year they spend them at the awana store.
