Totman, Roger and Monica Serving South Central Asia




Ministry Description:
Roger and Monica are currently working in the South Central Asia Office as the Asia Business Manager.
Roger works with the six creative access countries of South Central Asia. He is in daily communication with our workers regarding their finances, field budgeting, individual support packages and financial policies. He is secretary/treasurer of a non-profit corporation which provides our bi-vocational workers with visa sponsorship.

The Totman’s have two grown children: Melissa and Daniel.

Country Profile:
Roger works with the South Central Asia Area Office, which presently includes six creative access countries. For the past several years this area has seen more rapid numerical growth than any other in the EFCM. Business involvement, teaching and research, humanitarian aid and development are examples of the skills needed to work in these countries.

Testimonies:
Roger was raised and confirmed in a Methodist church. Following confirmation, he read the Bible every day as promised out of fear of God. As he got older, Roger watched Billy Graham on TV and was stirred by his messages. Roger accepted Christ one Sunday in the fall of 1965 (at age 18) and began a joy-filled life knowing Christ loved him and had died for him. Roger entered the military service in December of 1965, and the Lord helped him grow by sharing with others who thought he was unusual for reading his Bible every night.

Monica was born into a family where both parents loved the Lord. She is grateful for the instruction that they gave her from the Scriptures. At the age of 6, she received Jesus Christ personally. As a young person she was involved in church activities and Youth for Christ. During that time, as well as later in Campus Crusade and Inter-Varsity, she matured and became involved in sharing Christ. At Urbana ‘70, Monica was challenged to consider God’s call to missions. She was sincerely open to God’s leading.
